Leaving the Snail for cosmetic reasons at a friend's in Bardwell.  Harry and Wanda will take good care of her. Knowing how I love farming and the beauty of a field of almost anything, I forget how beautiful sunflowers can be...and in Texas.

 My new free campsite that even has electric and water.  Lamesa, Texas encourages travelers by offering and night or two free.  You pay after that.  The night was so cold that you did not need to  put the AC on.  the car next to us is the lady I drove to Cloudcroft.  She had a cute bed arranged in her van and refused to use the trailer with us.

 You know I cannot pass a Bulldog.  This was a huge sculpture.  I believe it was the Artesia Bulldogs but could be for my favorite Waller Bulldog Puppies.

 What a display of condiments at the cutest restaurant where we had breakfast.  Paulette and I always find the one with the locals enjoying their morning breakfast..... we choose well.

 Our little lady is an artist and insisted that we stop for pictures of yucca and wow did we find a beautiful century plant.  do you see the bug flying near the bottom blossom.

 Here we are set up in Cloudcroft NM at a Forest Service Campground ~ Silver.  Lovely, quiet, birds singing and hummers zooming by our heads (photo next post)

 Yes, I cut my hair and it is not pretty.  Mama told me before I left that she did not like it.  Cut 14 in off.  I am ready for a hike somewhere.

Left the campground and attended church this morning after a short hike, had a light lunch, checked on our little lady friend to see she was settled in her  home and back to the campground to run the generator for 2 hours.  More on that later.  Just stumbling along and enjoying life.  Hugs to all, Mary Alice
