Monday Madness

This has been a day full of changes. Sunshine, hail, rain, wind and calm. So glad I got out while the sun was shining. Michelle, a down-line in Creative Memories had a couple of her friends out in the studio saving memories in albums and making cards. I did some running around town taking care of business and visiting school friends. Hopefully what I have done to get my taxes information will be sufficient for my accountant. Can't finish Mothers until next week. I hate this time of year but must get it done before I can leave town for any reason. Since retirement, doubt anyone withheld enough that I will get anything back ~ just brace myself for paying in around the 15 th of April.
I took a challenge this afternoon with a sketch on a website for creating cards. I used the sketch and created a digital card which I will print on a card. Who knows, I make actually create the same thing using the identical paper and a real ribbon. Enjoy!
Mrs. Turlington brought me the cards the children wrote in to send the USA Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have a few address of Nicks friends that I can send to.
Must get busy and make a few little boy cards before going to Texas Children's NICU on Wednesday.
Stumbling along having fun.

Nick has a birthday

It is 42 years since I was preparing to go to the hospital to deliver a beautiful baby boy into the world. Dr. Bill Knight instructed to go home, rest and be at Methodist Hospital next morning very early. Gilford Nicholas did not take all day. Now he is a soldier in the US Army and serving his country. He is also freezing his buns off in Kansas this February 5th. So much better than his 41st in Iraq.
I have made a pack with myself that all figures will be ready to deliver to my accountant by February 10. I am almost ready including my mothers business. I think I will make it if I will just get off the computer and get on the one with the information that is pertinent.
I will be having a Flexible Crop on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I only have 4 ladies committed to attend and I will do all I can to see they get their memories recorded. One group will be receiving instructions on digital scrapbooking. I know they will be making cards, calendars, and books telling their stories.

It is your story, make sure you are the one who tells it ~ your way.
